“Therapy shouldn't feel clinical or intimidating.”
It should feel grounding, supportive, and approachable. I believe healing happens best in a space where you feel safe enough to be honest, curious, and imperfect. I work collaboratively, meaning we move at your pace and focus on goals that actually matter to you, not what therapy is "supposed" to look like.
I bring a steady, trauma-informed presence to sessions and approach my work with deep respect for how your experiences have shaped you. I balance compassion with practical tools to help you feel more control of your emotions and daily life. When it fits, I use humor to soften the heaviness and make the work feel more approachable and less overwhelming. My role is not to "fix" you, but to walk alongside you as you reconnect with your strengths and move forward with greater clarity and confidence.
More about Chelsea
Chelsea attended Auburn University where she obtained a Bachelor's in Psychology and a Master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. She has specialized training in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and is working towards becoming TF-CBT certified. Chelsea has a strong clinical interest in working with adolescents and adults who have experienced trauma or emotional and behavioral challenges.
Prior to becoming a therapist, Chelsea spent several years working in veterinary medicine where she developed a deep capacity for patience, compassion, and the ability to sit with others through difficult moments. That experience continues to shape how she shows up for her clients today.
Outside of the therapy room, Chelsea enjoys spending time with loved ones, reading, coffee, and eating good food.
